Continuum FAQ

How are nurses, allied health professionals, and other skillsets chosen for a strike?

Hit the Quick Apply button to send us your contact information and resume, and a dedicated recruiter will contact you to get any additional information we need. Once we have you in our database, we will contact you for any strike assignments that match your skillset and location availability.

Are the working conditions safe?

Continuum provides security detail at the facility to ensure your safety. We are in constant communication with the administration and will have an on-site presence as well, so we will always be aware of any conditions that undermine safety. While we never intend to send our talent into unsafe conditions, we will respond to any that arise very swiftly.

Do I have to get a new license before the strike?

Whether or not you’ll need to get a new license for an assignment depends on where it occurs. We reimburse licensing expenses for candidates who have been selected for strike assignments. To reimburse for license-related fees, we will ask for a copy of the original receipt.

What kind of housing will I have?

We provide comfortable, safe housing at no cost to you.

What kind of transportation is provided to me?

We provide round–trip airfare and all ground transportation, at no cost to you.

How many hours will I have to work?

Strikes typically require 48-60 hours of labor and 12 hours of orientation.

What is the length of commitment for working a job action?

Unless the strike is scheduled for a specific timeframe, we request a two-week minimum commitment from you.

What is the pay rate for strikes?

Strike rates are consistently higher than regular rates, sometimes up to four times the rate of a full-time position. Compensation packages will depend on the location of the assignment and other factors. Your dedicated recruiter will communicate all compensation information with full transparency.

How long will I have between accepting an assignment and arriving on-site?

Strike staffing requires a quick turnaround, and you will typically arrive to the hotel for orientation within 24-48 hours of accepting the assignment.
